Design Gives will be partnering with Wayside Waifs, a nonprofit humane society and animal shelter. Wayside is the largest no-kill pet adoption campus in Kansas City, helping nearly 40,000 pets and people each year. Facility operations cost approximately $27,397 a day. Our service and community engagement helps to continue making Wayside’s life-saving mission possible.

Volunteer opportunities could include:

• Beautification projects on campus

• Assisting with laundry

• Cleaning and organizing the grooming room

• Restocking the pet food pantry

• Creating enrichment for the waifs

• Helping with dishes

• Cleaning the kennels

This volunteer opportunity will include a 40-minute tour of the facility as well as some time to play with puppies and kittens! (Pet friendly clothing recommended)
